In a situationship, just like in baseball, there are rules. The rules are simple (or maybe not):

✔️In public you’re friends. Nothing more.
✔️If he’s talking to another girl, turn and walk away.
✔️Never tell him you want more, and most importantly……
✔️Definitely do not think he has actual feelings for you.

It was supposed to be simple.
No feelings, just fun.

Strike three for me because I broke every rule and I’m moments away from Olivia Rodrigo writing a song about my life.

Even though we keep making the same error, inning after inning, nobody knows Jaxon like I do. Nobody knows our past, or the pressures we have as college athletes. Nobody knows because we vowed never to talk about it and he’d never break a promise, right?

Wrong.

Final rule…..Never take your eye off the ball, and never trust anyone.

Bases loaded, bottom of the ninth… Jaxon assumes I’m always going to be waiting for him.
